Start stocking up on alcohol when you see sales, don't buy it all at once.


I just purchased save the dates for cheaper since there was a black Friday deal.
Idk what decore you want, but hobby lobby has 90% off fall stuff if you're looking into fall decore.
Also to save money skip the favors. They mostly get tossed or forgotten.
But sounds like you're planning correctly so far!

Congrats!!! I wuld say that if you are having an open bar and can supply your own alcohol, then start buying. You should look into Wholesale liquor stores or shop at Costcos ( if you have one near you).

Great that you have those big must done already now yes start ordering your decor and favors. And to find an officiant you can looking here or ask any friends if they know anyone for a set price. And you set the price between $125.00- $200 or ask them if they will officiant your wedding for guys. Ordering your decor now is good because depending on where they are coming from sooner is good. Just so you will have some relief or may have to find a replace. And have you and your FH discuss what type of food that you want to serve at the reception and will there be a cocktail hour. I would just of a cocktail hour that you dont have too much food. And yes I do understand that you want them to be happy and that there are plenty for everyone. But you want them to eat at the reception dinner. If they fill up at the cocktail hour trust me they will not eat the food and that is a big chunk of money. And as for the alcohol goes don't order it until 3 months before your wedding and dont tell the distributors that it is a wedding. Because they will charge you more just say it's for a party either work or parents. And did you guys book for transportation for the day and on the wedding wire app it will let you know when to book for transportation then it will be the hotel booking.Happy planning I hope that this and advice helped

Also I am actually thinking about just doing personalized champagne glasses with escort name cards, kind of as the party favors, so it eliminates having to create a seating chart, and technically eliminates doing actual party favors.

I am doing open bar and supplying all of the alcohol then just going to hire 2 local bartenders from one of our favorite spots in town to help keep the cost down! With it being a year away, should I start buying liquor and wine? Then grab beer closer to wedding time?
